Terms of Service

1. Using the app

You must be at least 13 years old to use The Tipsy App. You agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with, scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Ratings and reviews

You may rate and review restaurants you have actually visited. By posting, you confirm your review reflects a genuine experience and that you own the rights to any photos you upload.

Do not post content that is:

• false, paid-for, or written on behalf of a business or its competitor;
• harassing, hateful, threatening, or discriminatory;
• obscene, or containing private information about another person;
• spam, advertising, or unrelated to the restaurant.

We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion. You keep ownership of what you post, and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it within the app and our marketing.

4. Critic content

Reviews, notes, ratings, and picks published by our critic are personal opinion. Restaurant details such as hours, menus, BYOB status, and locations come from third-party sources and may be out of date. Always confirm with the restaurant.

5. Intellectual property

The Tipsy App name, logo, design, and original content are ours and may not be copied or used without permission.

6. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party maps, place data, and hosting. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control.

7. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, complete, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error free. You are responsible for your own dining decisions, including any allergies, dietary needs, and responsible alcohol consumption.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9. Changes and termination

We may modify these terms or the app itself. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law rules.
